Biography
I was born and raised in Rutland, Vermont, graduating from Rutland High School and the University of Vermont. During college, I attended American University and interned for the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. I also lived in Montana, California, and Washington chasing powder runs and pursuing professional training in accounting, auditing, programming, project management and finance. When I returned to Vermont, I worked as a Communications and IT Director for the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps.
I went on to attend Vermont Law School, graduating cum laude, with a focus on environmental and energy law. I served as a judicial intern for Justice Brian L. Burgess of the Vermont Supreme Court, an Articles Editor for the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law, a Research Assistant for the US-China Partnership for Environmental Law, a Dean’s Fellow; and worked at an investment management company assessing legal risk and CSR policies.
Legal Experience
After law school, I served as a Hearing Officer for the Vermont Public Utility Commission. When I moved back to Rutland County, I engaged in private practice. Initially, representing property developers in the field of Vermont energy permitting and regulation. Later, joining a respected Rutland law firm representing individuals and businesses in defense of lawsuits in Vermont and New York.
My practice varies now, drawing upon my experience and training in the areas of property development, litigation, environmental law, utilities, energy, real estate and land use, income tax, estates, non-profits, and insurance matters.

My husband and I live with our kiddo and sweet rescue dog, Rudy. We spend most of our time either in the woods, our gardens or on a lake, river, or ski hill.
